Qaanaaq (about pronounced KAH-nahk), erstwhile Thule, occurs as town & municipality inside northwestern Greenland. These are a merely town in the district of Northerly Greenland (Avanaa). It was known as Thule fallowing the European myth. a town of Qaanaaq hwhen a people of 640, & the whole municipality 850 (as of Jan. One, 2005). Additionally to the town, there are 5 villages (sustaining people): Savissivik, pop. 78, in the northern section of Melville Bay, in the south of the municipality Moriusaq Xxi, astir Xxx kilometer of Thule Air Base Qeqertat Twenty-two (on the independent island of the Harward Øer) Qeqertarsuaq Ii (in an island, Herbert Ø) Siorapaluk 87 (northmost village of the globe at 77°28'North)
